Mike Futrell is a musician with a background in classical and jazz music. He studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts and has developed a unique approach to creating music that blends different sounds and ideas.

Mike’s music brings together progressive rock, classical, jazz, metal, hip-hop, Nu-Metal, and cinematic film music. His style is bold, unpredictable, and deeply influenced by storytelling. Every piece is created to take the listener on a journey and keep them guessing where the music will go next.

Through Gaia’s Spawn, Mike explores the cycle of life, death, and renewal. His vision is to create music that reflects the experiences, struggles, changes, and rebirth we all go through. Each song is meant to feel like part of a larger journey moving from one chapter of existence to the next.
